HOW TO DO A PATCH TEST
Performing a patch test is a crucial step when introducing a new skincare product to your routine, as it can help you to determine whether the product/s is safe for your skin and whether you may have an adverse reaction to it. Here are the steps for performing a patch test:
- Choose a small area of skin on your inner forearm or behind your ear that is easily accessible and not visible.
- Apply a small amount of the product to the area and spread it evenly. You can use a cotton swab or your finger to do this.
- Wait for at least 24-48 hours and observe the area for any signs of redness, itching, swelling, or irritation. Â
- If you do not experience any adverse reactions after 24-48 hours, it is likely safe to use the product on your face.
HOW TO USE
Cleanse your skin with a gentle cleanser such as our Honey and Oats Cleanser.
Optional: Apply a hydrating serum such as our Thirst Quencher.
Apply a liberal amount of moisturiser on your face, or where needed.
In the daytime, follow up with sunscreen.
Our Barrier Repair Cream should be used twice a day or as required.
SUNBURN ALERT
While this product is unlikely to cause sensitivity to the sun, you should always wear sunscreen and reapply every two to three hours.
