HOW TO DO A PATCH TEST
Performing a patch test is a crucial step when introducing a new skincare product to your routine, as it can help you to determine whether the product/s is safe for your skin and whether you may have an adverse reaction to it. Here are the steps for performing a patch test:
- Choose a small area of skin on your inner forearm or behind your ear that is easily accessible and not visible.
- Apply a small amount of the product to the area and spread it evenly. You can use a cotton swab or your finger to do this.
- Wait for at least 24-48 hours and observe the area for any signs of redness, itching, swelling, or irritation. Â
- If you do not experience any adverse reactions after 24-48 hours, it is likely safe to use the product on your face.
HOW TO USE
To use our acne skincare combo, follow these recommended steps:
- Take one supplement in the morning on an empty stomach. Children over the age of 13 should take one capsule every second day. Avoid consumption if pregnant or breastfeeding. This supplement should not be used for more than 10 weeks. Azadirachta Indica is a natural herb made from 100 percent pure Azadirachta Indica dried leaf powder which is known to have medicinal properties. Health supplements are intended only to complement health or supplement the diet. Contact your health practitioner if you have concerns about this product.
- Wet your face: Start by gently wetting your face with lukewarm water.
- Dispense the cleanser: Squeeze a small amount of our Acne Treatment 2% Salicylic Acid Cleanser into the palm of your hand.
- Apply to face: Gently massage the cleanser onto your face using circular motions. Focus on areas prone to acne, such as the T-zone or areas with visible blemishes.
- Rinse thoroughly: Rinse your face with lukewarm water, ensuring all traces of the cleanser are washed away.
- Pat dry: Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel. Avoid rubbing, as this can irritate the skin.
- Follow up with our Professional Acne Treatment Day & Night Exfoliator: After cleansing, apply our Professional Acne Treatment Day & Night Exfoliator to further enhance the acne-fighting effects of our cleanser. The exfoliant is formulated with 2% salicylic acid. Apply every other day and note skin’s response. Then use up to twice daily. Some users may experience dryness, so adjust usage frequency if needed. Individual experiences may vary.
- Apply the Professional Acne Treatment Day or Night Gel Moisturiser depending on whether its the morning or night (please note, do not use the night gel moisturiser in the daytime): Squeeze the rubber top of the dropper to draw up the desired amount of gel. Typically, a few drops are sufficient for the entire face. Place the dropper tip close to your skin. Slowly release the pressure on the dropper to dispense the gel. It’s important to avoid direct contact between the dropper and your skin to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination. Once the gel is on your face, use clean fingertips to gently massage it into your skin using circular motions until fully absorbed. Or pat it into your skin.
- In the morning, follow up with a broad spectrum sunscreen.
NOTE: You can apply a moisturiser on top of the day and night gel if you wish.
