Sorbitan Oleate

Sorbitan Oleate (Span 80) is an emulsifier — the ingredient that holds the oil and water parts of a cream or lotion together so they do not separate. It gives products a stable, smooth, even texture and also helps disperse oils as a co-surfactant. It is a dependable formulation workhorse rather than a treatment active.
