Hyaluronic Acid Powder

Description

This Hyaluronic Acid Powder is a high-molecular-weight sodium hyaluronate (approx. 1300–1800 kDa) — a formulation ingredient and one of the most effective humectants in skincare. It binds water to hydrate and soften the skin, and at this molecular weight it forms a light, smoothing film on the surface that helps hold moisture in.

Why high molecular weight

High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid works mainly on the skin surface, forming a hydrating, protective film for a comfortable, plumped feel — it is not designed to travel deep into the skin, which is normal for this grade. It is gentle and suits most skin types, especially dry or dehydrated skin.

How to use it

Use it as a hydrating active in the water phase of your formulation. A little goes a long way — start at a low percentage, sprinkle it slowly into water and allow it to hydrate fully into a gel before adding the rest of your phase. Follow the usage guidance and any technical details supplied with your batch. It is a raw ingredient, not a finished or sterile product.

A note for microneedling

Raw hyaluronic-acid powder is not a procedure product for use during microneedling. Powder, water and a recipe do not make a finished, sterile mixture, and needled skin is temporarily more exposed.
