Dr Pen Microneedling Device

The Dr Pen A1-C provides adjustable mechanical control for microneedling treatments. Microneedling is most strongly supported for improving selected atrophic acne scars, with evidence for some fine lines, wrinkles and skin-texture concerns.

The dial markings describe the device’s adjustment range; they are not universal treatment-depth recommendations.

1. Cleanse and appropriately prepare the skin.
2. Clean and disinfect the reusable handpiece according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Never immerse it in liquid.
3. Wash your hands and use appropriate gloves where required.
4. Attach a fresh, sealed cartridge for every treatment.
5. Select depth and speed according to the treatment area, concern, device guidance, experience and observed skin response.
6. Apply an appropriate microneedling glide and work systematically without unnecessary repeated passes.

After treatment, remove and appropriately dispose of the cartridge, clean the reusable handpiece and follow suitable post-treatment skincare. Read the 2026 Ultimate Microneedling Guide before you begin.

Do not microneedle over active infection, open or damaged skin, inflamed acne or a severely compromised skin barrier. Additional precautions may apply with poor wound healing, abnormal scarring, certain medical conditions or medicines, and pigmentation that worsens after inflammation.

Use a new sealed cartridge for every treatment. Never share or reuse cartridges, dispose of them appropriately, and clean the reusable handpiece as directed.

Deeper is not automatically better. A setting up to 3.0 mm is not appropriate for every person, area or concern. Read Who Should Avoid Microneedling?
