Tremella Mushroom Extract

Description

Tremella fuchsiformis (snow mushroom) extract is a plant-derived polysaccharide humectant, often used as a natural alternative to hyaluronic acid. In a formulation it helps draw in and hold moisture, leaving skin feeling hydrated and comfortable with a light, non-tacky finish.

Why formulators use it

• Humectant hydration — binds water in the formula and on the skin surface.
• Light, breathable feel — many find it less tacky than some hyaluronic-acid gels.
• Plant-derived — a botanical option for hydrating serums, gels and creams.

How to use it

Use it as a hydrating active in the water phase of your formulation, following the usage guidance and any technical details supplied with your batch. Start conservative and adjust to the texture you want. It is a formulation ingredient — not a finished sterile product.
