Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THD ascorbate) is an oil-soluble form of Vitamin C. Unlike pure Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) it is stable, does not need a low-pH formula and does not sting — so it is far easier to use and gentler on the skin. It brightens uneven tone, helps fade dark spots, supports collagen for firmer-looking skin, and protects against the free-radical damage that ages skin.

How is this different from regular Vitamin C? It is oil-soluble and stable, so it does not oxidise quickly or sting like pure Vitamin C.
